Jefferson Starship - Red Octopus

1975.
Some may feel that Jefferson Airplane sold out when they became Jefferson Starship..but I think that occurred when they simply became Starship. I recall this album from the summer between my junior and senior years in high school. Hanging out in Brookdale Park with friends. Cruising through town..laughing like we never laughed before. Good Times, good times.

I love this song..it's special to me.

I remember this tune, (and record). I am one of those who think that the Starship, (that is the post Blows Against the Empire incarnation), was a sellout, but this tune in particular proved particularly utilitarian at the old fart house...

This one triggered a mini-torrent of thoughts:

1) Aren't MOST octipi RED?

2) Do the "Miracle Whip" television marketing people know about this song?

3) NO ONE could exist on a star. It's too damned hot.

4) Why does the lady* (* presumably) that Marty's singing to have to believe in miracles first? Burdens in healthy relationships (ideally) should be shared.

freudian slip there, I should have said "old frat house...".

does that clarify things?
