XM RADIO

ok...this doesn't constitute a Kitchen Concert however it was a day of great music..seemingly endless. I was fortunate to spend extra time in my car today, running here and there and every time I got in..there was awesome music on XM Radio Deep Tracks channel 40:

(I can't remember each song because the music they play is definitely NOT top 40..it's tracks you never or rarely heard even when these bands were popular..it's album stuff friends)

Johnny Winter - Raised on Rock
David Bowie (something I never heard before and now I can't remember the name)
Wishbone Ash (My god, I totally missed this group in the 70's, I'm downloading this weekend..duel guitar harmonies, wow)
Pink Floyd - Dogs from Animals
Captain Beefheart - Cucamonga (made me smile)
Canned Heat - Old hippie stuff
Buffalo Springfield """"
Edgar Winter - jammin' stuff
James Gang (Man they rock, hey who wants to go see them with me in Boca tomorrow night????)
Rolling Stones - Monkey Man, probably one of my favorite songs ever

God it was like I was in Rock and Roll heaven!!

Paul McCartney - RAM

Ahhhh, RAM...the very first album I ever bought. I listened to it, till I wore the grooves off the vinyl. I FINALLY got the CD about 3-4 years ago and fell in love with it all over again.

"Heart of the country where the homely people grow...heart of the country smell the grass in the meadow...wowowowoooooooooo"

LOVE THIS ALBUM!! YAY!!! MAKES ME SMILE!!!

Grateful Dead - Terrapin Station

Well after the comments here by Eccentric Recluse, I was reminded of a Dead concert that I attended Septemeber 03, 1977. I actually googled it and found some cool photos of that experience. I also found a review and by golly, I'd swear the author was sitting on the blanket next to mine, his experience and mine were identical..I absolutely couldn't tell the story as well as he did. It was a great concert...absolutely!

I guess I'm back in the 70's again..

Various Artists - Original leelee Compilation CD

No Cover Art with this one as I made the cd from scratch and I haven't gotten to the point of creating jewel cases YET.
I decided to make some homemade Gazpacho this afternoon using my new Vidalia Chop Wizard my hubby saw on TV and suggested we order.
Well it works great and it was way fun working with it while listening to these songs:
The Verve Pipe - Colorful
Puddle Of Mud - She Fucking Hates Me
Alice In Chains - No Excuses
Black Crowes - Remedy
Sublime - Santeria
Cake - I will Survive
Counting Crows - Sullivan Street
Everlast - What It's Like
Nicklelback - Savin' Me
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight, Tonight
Soundgarden - Burden In My Head
Stone Temple Pilots - Big Empty
Counting Crows - Anna Begins
Sublime - What I Got
See, this proves I am NOT stuck in the 70's ( I just spend a lot of time there..)
