So Scary, I guess it would be safe to say, you would not agree with my assertion that The Last Waltz was easily one of the best concert films ever made?? Try it again..perhaps after your morning java..

Thanks Phos...well I am a Jersey girl in actuality...so...I don't know how I feel about your statement, but I have a fondness for the south...I think it's the grits that sold me..

I am an expatriate blue-belly myself. Kind of a long way fomr the cradle of the civil war, but there were actually some battles in this neck of the woods.

It was the peppers that sold me on the Southwest. Sorry, but grits are nasty, though not quite as disgusting as polenta. I think it is a texture kind of thing for me.

but wait....you LOVE tamales and they are filled with cornmeal...and that a cousin to grits...and polenta as well. You double whammied me Phos..I am an Italian girl from NJ, who has a fondness for southern grits, Italian polenta and even Southwestern Masa de maĆz, sometimes also called masa harina.

Leelee, you would love my cooking. If not the Lasagne, then the Enchiladas.

leelee said...

you bet I would Dave....now your talking :-)

YUM!

Sorry LeeLee, I gave polenta my best shot. I even had it sevral times in Italy, home of polenta - nope, it sucks. Tamales, on the other hand are what I believe the bible was referring to as the forbidden fruit. They are without suckage.

So, How often do you eat Tamales. In my hood you can purchase them at just about every corner.

Dave..I would eat Tamales each and every day, but don't...they are yummy...but not good to eat if I want to maintain my "girlish" figure...lol....so I eat them rarely. But I am in South Florida and they are available everywhere here too..lucky us huh??
