The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers

This record was considered so risque when it hit MY music stores in 1971 that the owner of the store (Gaslight Records) had to keep it behind the counter and partially covered. The working fly was just too much for our suburban town. We bought it anyway...the owner's raised eyebrows not withstanding...although we didn't run right home to show it to Mom and Dad.. and for sure we didn't show them the Andy Warhol inside...

The music though...so great, so early Stones...so..hot n' rockin'

I have to agree with you on the garden...I'm from NJ..and if you looked at my ticket stub collection (which is rather impressive) you'd see many colored MSG ticket stubs..not like the ticketmaster stubs...the tkts from the Garden box office are special.

Get Yer Ya ya's out is great..I love almost all live music. Too bad I didn't go to that performance..but then again..I was only 11 in 1969...I would have if they had let me though... :-)

leelee Me is certain that at some point in our lives we were both at the same show watching the same band and sharing the same high.
What are some of your favorite memories from the Garden?

Oh Scary...I do have so many fond meories of the Garden. My first concert there was Elton John in Sept 73. Yellow Brick Road was just released...I was a big Fan.

Pink Floyd...Animals..Wish you were here and The Wall are right up there.

Yes in the round....WOW

Neil Young...hey hey my my...rock and roll will never die...better to burn out then it is to rust..

And that's just off the top of my head..are you from NY originally?? How cool!!!

Yup! From the rotten core of the Big Apple.

For me the Dead, the Kinks, Black Sabbath, Billy Joel be some of mine. Me missed Yes (were selling bootleg t-shirts outside) and me couldn't get tickets for Pink Floyd's Wall Tour and me be everlastingly dissapointed about that.

Well my biggest disappointment was not seeing Zeppelin in the summer of..uh oh...I can't remember...when did houses of the holy come out...73? I was on vacaton with my family 300 miles away....I wanted to drown myself!

Did finally see Page & Plant in Miami....was worth the wait..not the same, but close..

PS: Your secret is safe with me...shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Excellent choice. Some great songs on this album, and the cover was a riot. I easily partied while listening to The Stones more than any other group. Ah, the memories (if I could remember them ...).

we might all have to be hypnotised to dig deep enough into our memory banks to remember those partying days My friend..or maybe we'd better let sleeping pugs lie..
