Faces - Ooh La La

This afternoon I heard If I'm On The Late Side from this album on my XM radio. My goodness I hadn't heard it in years and I love it. SOOOOOOOOOO tonight I downloaded the album and burned it. 1973 was the original release date, I was a sophomore in high school. I just finished listening to the album and I remember every word to every song. Funny how I can't remember what I had for lunch today...go figure.

Well Rod The Mod is a favorite, that goes without saying, but I always had a "thing" for Ron Wood, even today, despite his addictions...I still love the guy.

OK, you got me there. You have some decent albums listed here, exquisite tastes in music, (much like my own). Inspired by your review, I am listening to "Every Picture Tells a Story (don't it?)"

Drop around sometime. I will return if or when the omnipotent "next blog" button allows it.

I am a fan of Rod Stewart's early stuff as well. In fact, listening to him was a Monday morning ritual (I can be a very ritualistic person, this is probably a shock) for awhile. In fact, he is an inspiration for one of my next "Creative Business Ideas"!

It appears that your slump is over. And all it took was a kick in the heinie from yours truly!

Thanks ER for stopping by. I don't think I ever even clicked on that "next blog" button. I think I probably should.

Puerileuwaite..I wondered what the roper spelling of heinie was..I always spelled it H I N E Y

Yes, thanks for kicking me there..I guess I needed it. I had fun listening to Faces last night..brought back so many memories. Just in time for my trip up north to my old home town on Friday. Now I'm getting excited.

where, pray tell, is your old home town?

I'm headed to Northern NJ ER. Why do you ask?

I was simply curious. (If I had my attitude on I might have said that I retreat deep within my cave when there is a possibility of others in my kingdom, but, as I am just paying bills, I didn't...).

have a good trip.

ha! funny...apparently then no need to worry..NJ is not your kingdom then?

Nope, not this week anyways.

New Jersey? Well, THAT explains a lot.

P- I am going to take THAT last comment as a compliment, as I am sure that's how it was intended...correct??? :-)

puerileuwaite said...

Well you ARE from Jersey (la de friggin' da), so I'm sure you can figure it out.

Why, feelin' guilty? ;-)

leelee said...

I'm still trying to figure out what it is about NJ that people are so affected by?

We're just regular folks!

and as I say..I don't DO guilt..

;-)

Oh sure. And "The Sopranos" are just honest business people.

Oh, and thank you for reminding me of yet another thing about New Jerseyans(?): lack of guilt, when the evidence clearly proves otherwise.

Okay. leelee. I downloaded a bunch of Rod's songs yesterday while watching "Gangs of New York". What a long, over-the-top movie THAT was.
