No Cover Art with this one as I made the cd from scratch and I haven't gotten to the point of creating jewel cases YET.
I decided to make some homemade Gazpacho this afternoon using my new Vidalia Chop Wizard my hubby saw on TV and suggested we order.
Well it works great and it was way fun working with it while listening to these songs:
The Verve Pipe - Colorful
Puddle Of Mud - She Fucking Hates Me
Alice In Chains - No Excuses
Black Crowes - Remedy
Sublime - Santeria
Cake - I will Survive
Counting Crows - Sullivan Street
Everlast - What It's Like
Nicklelback - Savin' Me
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight, Tonight
Soundgarden - Burden In My Head
Stone Temple Pilots - Big Empty
Counting Crows - Anna Begins
Sublime - What I Got
See, this proves I am NOT stuck in the 70's ( I just spend a lot of time there..)

Ok, ya got me, two in a row there. About the time the Talking Heads were beginning to make a splash, I was retreating into my LP collection and headphones, certain that civilization was ending, (and, I still maintain, I was right, just slower than I expected). So, while I have heard of them, I am not real familiar with the Talking Heads. Then you come up with a compilation to really rub my face in it. I have heard some of the names, and probably some of the tunes on radio, but cannot hum a few bars of any of them. Talk about feeling old!
Listening to John Fogerty - Centerfield right now...
OK ecc rec..I have a challenge for you. Ae you presently downloading any music into an ipod or burning cd's? I have a sneaking suspicion you're not, but of course I could be worng. Check out

or
http://www.limewear.com/
You could join us all in the party to celebrate the end of civilization! really, try out some of the songs on my compilation cd..If you like some of the music I have posted thus far, then I think you'll like them.
OK, I will try those two sites. I noticed that limeware is in the hotseat formerly occupied by kazaa, (as of last week),suit seeks something like $40K for each 'infringement'. yes, I burn CD's from time to time, some from @pple, some from the archive. what is your favorite Grateful Dead CD or recording?
My favorite Dead album?? Probably would have to say American Beauty, but I like Workingman's Dead, Blues for Allah and Mars Hotel alot as well. I saw the Dead numerous times in the late 70's. Always wonderful! And about a year ago..I bought a cd by Jerry Garcia and David Grisman, after seeing a great documentary on PBS. It's one of my fav cd's now.
John Fogerty is great. Put me in, Coach - I'm ready to play today; Look at me, I can be Centerfield
use bearshare..its good
I will take a look at bearshare. thanks for the tip. are you familiar with the live music archive?
I'm not...do tell
OK, check out this link:

and, if you have time, you can go up to the main page and get all sorts of interesting, (and not so interesting tidbits...)
if you would like, you may email me to continue this conversation. (or not).
I've been lurking. Be back soon ...
I'll wait up PW
Leelee, I hope you weren't serious about waiting up. If you were, than I'm glad I did this tonight!
The Vidalia Chop Wizard looks interesting. Ten years ago (when I was heavily into my cooking gadget phase), I would've bought one this early into the promotion. I do have a slicer/dicer that looks similar, only with mine you slide it across the blade. Which makes it way more challenging.
The songs that I recognize from your list include:
Alice In Chains - No Excuses
Black Crowes - Remedy
Sublime - Santeria
Everlast - What It's Like
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
Sublime - What I Got
I used to do compilations all the time. Now I do it in my iPod. I'll probably do a music-themed post soon, where I'll do a list or two.
It's nice to see you posting more frequently. You're always entertaining!
aww PW..you're cute. Thanks for coming back to post.
I still don't have an ipod..because I would have to get docking stations for home, car and work, So i just make those comps.
Between you and me, the Vidalia Chop Wizard IS fun but I am just as happy with a good sharp knife. The gazpacho is excellent though! YUM!
