After dinner is done and it's my night on KP duty...I love to pop a CD into my Bose Wave and lose myself in the music while I engage in what is usually quite a mundane chore. I find that while listening , dancing, and singing to my favorite music...I actually LOOK FORWARD to this task. My family clears out because I usually crank up the volume to 50+ and I ALWAYS listen to the entire album.

We've both said this before, but our tastes are eerily similar. In this case, the Talking Heads were the band that starting the "branching out" of my musical tastes. What a breath of fresh air the entire CBGB scene was.
More on your recent album picks later, when I get the chance.
oh those were fun days...
yes we have very similar tastes..
Anyway, back to the album. One thing I recommend is that you should list the songs that resonate with you, and the reason(s) why. If you can come up with kooky stories, all the better. Anyway, that's what I plan to do (or something similar) when I start posting about music, for what it's worth.
So I just looked up the song list myself, and the one that jumped out at me was "Psycho Killer". Which is IMHO one of their most innovative songs; a bold statement for this very creative band. I love to play drums to it, BTW. And the "Stop Making Sense" live version with just David Byrne and a boom box is great.
Good memories. And still a favorite today. They're timeless.
It's funny, when I am not sitting in front of my keyboard and I am thinking about my blog, I come up with some great ideas and writings in my mind for blogs. When I sit down I go blank..nothing comes out the way I thought it would..and also I am sure the world or at least the few who happen upon my blog would be bored silly with my little vignettes. I'm so awed by the writings of others..
I do like your suggestion though.
I'm convinced that my greatest ideas are lost forever because I do the same thing. Let's learn from Carly Simon (and lots of other musicians), by keeping a small notebook handy at all times to jot these things down. Or else we can carry small tape recorders just like Michael Keaton in "Night Shift".
Don't think I haven't thought of that PW..and yet, I still haven't done it..as all of my great blogs vanish into thin air...one of these days........................
